The Greens At Half Hollow Hills Long Island is situated by Old South Path in Suffolk County.  Opened in 2003, The Greens has two 24 hour security gates.  It offers 3 types of residences.  The most affordable at The Greens are the condos with parking spaces by the units and no garages.  These are on the 1st floor or 2nd floor and have 2 bedrooms with 1.5 baths or 2 full baths, and some have a cozy additional space.  The townhouses are clusters of 4 attached homes with a garage, master bedrooms on the main level, and loft space.  Some also have basements.  There are 2 designs of the townhouses.  The golf villas are the largest homes and they are 2 attached units and there are 3 designs.  All the villas have garages and some have basements.   This is a leisure lifestyle with plenty to keep you busy, plus the added pleasure of maintenance free-living.

The Greens at Half Hollow Hills Long Island has a spacious clubhouse that includes an indoor pool, a fitness center, card rooms,  media rooms, a restaurant, and lounge.  Outdoors there is the olympic size heated pool, lighted tennis courts, walking paths around the community , and  the golf course. The Greens requires a social membership fee and common charges for the community, but golf membership is not required.  When joining, there are membership fees and golf fees.   According to  public records for 2008 condos, townhouses and villas in The Greens At Half Hollow Hills sold from $480,000 to $1,175,000.

Opened in 2006 The Villages West At Melville is a 24 hour guard gated community located in the top rated Half Hollow Hills School District #5.  Situated by the Long Island Expressway Exit 49N to McGovern Drive, The Villages West At Melville is both a homeowner’s association and a condo community.  There are attached condo units with no garage, but they have a parking space, there are attached townhouses with detached garages, there are ranch and 2 story units,  and there are single family homes with attached garages.  This gated pet friendly community offers, clubhouse, pool, tennis,and  play area.  The common charges and taxes vary depending on the unit.  According to public records for 2008, it shows that the attached Hamilton at The Villages West sold between $650,000 to $725,000.
