Providing Children’s and Family Fun since 1987, Woodside Nursery and Garden Center is five acres big geared toward Halloween –Fall season enjoyment. We offer a great friendly outdoor exhibit called “Octobercation and our Spooky Famous indoor “Haunted Tunnel” Admission is only $2.00 for both.  Mums, Cornstalks, Straw bundles and decorations are also available. Woodside Nursery also offers a one of a kind Children’s Birthday Party and Fun educational Field Trips. All Fall festivities start Saturday September 25th and run until Sunday November 1, 2009. Pumpkin Park at Adventureland – Farmingdale, New York

There’s a whole lot o’ fun brewing at Adventureland. Pumpkin Park is a safe, fun, FREE Halloween Event. Kids can trick or treat around the amusement park on Saturday, Oct 24, 2009. Rain date Sunday, Oct 25, 2009. Pay-one-price bracelets to go on rides are additional.

Halloween Hayride & Safe Zone – Northport, New York

The Village of Northport Halloween Hayride sponsored by the Northport Chamber of Commerce takes place again this October. Halloween Hayride on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009 from 1-4pm in the Village Park. Hayrides, music and pumpkin painting.

Ghostly Gala – Garden City, New York

On Saturday, October 24, 2009 from 6-9pm celebrate Halloween in a fun, safe and spooky (not scary) way! Mills Pond House of Horrors – Saint James, New York

Walk the darkened hallways and rooms of the House of Horrors. 5000 sq feet of haunting special effects, live actors and more. Not recommended for young children or the faint of heart. Open Weekends, October 9 – October 31, 2009; Wed Oct 28, Thur Oct 29 and Fri Oct 30th. Tickets $15.00 per person. Shows times 6pm-10pm or 7pm-11pm on various nights.

Scarecrow Contest – Brookhaven, New York

Join your neighbors for a fun afternoon on Saturday, Oct 17, 2009 at 1pm at the Brookhaven Library. The day is filled with music, scarecrow building and good old fashioned fun. The Banjo Rascals will be back to entertain us while scarecrows are being built. Those wishing to build scarecrows should call the library to reserve a spot. Participants should arrive with a prepared scarecrow head and the clothes necessary to build your scarecrow. The library will provide a cross frame and all the stuffing you might need. In the event of rain, the Banjo Rascals will entertain us with a sing along. Crosses will be distributed to anyone who would like to make their scarecrow at home. Suitable for all ages.

The Darkside Haunted House – Wading River, New York

The Darkside Haunted House is Long Islands #1 walk through Haunted Attraction. Haunted House at North Patchogue Fire Department – N. Patchogue, New York

Three floors of horror. You can have your Corn Mazes, Haunted Hay Rides, and you can keep your Haunted Woods and Spook Walks. This house is built to terrorize. Come and join us for a night of frills, thrills, and getting the bejesus scared out of you. Warning: Not recommended for small children. Oct. 9 – Nov 1st on Fridays and Saturdays (7-11 p.m.) and Sundays (7-10 pm). Tickets are $10 for adults, $6 or children under 10. Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck Spooky Walk – Center Moriches, New York

As visitors enter the gates, they will encounter some of the scariest, most grotesque creatures they have ever seen. Their bravery will be challenged as they walk an inescapable route into The Black Woods. This year’s Spooky Walk is geared towards older children, teenagers and adults. Younger children may also attend, but it is up to the parent or caregiver to determine if their child can handle it. Tickets can be purchased at the gate for $12.00, with proceeds going to benefit the handicapped children at Camp Pa-Qua-Tuck. Food, drinks and souvenirs will be sold at the end of the walk. Spooky walk dates are October 16,17,23 and 24th. Gates open at 7pm.

Bayville Scream Park – Bayville, New York

Every year the doors of the Bay Family Mansion are unlocked. The ghosts and ghouls come out to play. They invade all of Bayville Adventure Park. Bayville Adventure Park transforms into a spooky world of frights and surprises to become Bayville Scream park. Featuring Bloodworth Manor, Uncle Needle’s Fun House of Fear, Temple of Terror, Zombie Pirates and Evil in the Woods!

Tickets are $14.75 per attraction or buy combo passes for all halloween events. Fridays and Saturdays, 6pm-Midnight, Sundays and Weekdays 6pm-10pm through Halloween and extended to November 8, 2009. Kids “Not So Scary” days on Saturdays & Sundays from 11am to 6pm. Bloodworth Manor and Funhouse of Fear (not appropriate for younger children) and not open during the daytime kids show.

Medford Haunted House – Medford, New York

Spooktacular haunted house that attracts hundreds of visitors and grows bigger each year. Ghouls, goblins, decorations, friends and volunteers make Halloween a trick and a treat. Open after sundown. Children can visit during the day through the week of Halloween. Make a donation and don’t scare the neighbors, this is residential neighborhood.
