Long Island Home Buyer Tell Us About Yourself

Want to Buy a Long Island Home or Condo? Let’s Find Out A Little About Your Lifestyle

It’s always interesting when Larry and I meet new Long Island home buyers for the first time. It’s all about getting to know them.  Some are nervous, some are very excited, some are impulsive, and some are overwhelmed and do not have a clue as to what they are looking for.

So, help us a little to make this process of home buying a successful experience for everyone.

  • First, and Most Important: Are you working with any other agents?
  • What is your budget?
  • Number of bedrooms and baths
  • Style of home
  • Size of property
  • What Town(s)
  • Is there any style home that you definitely don’t want?
  • Where do you want to live?

It would also be helpful to discuss your lifestyle.  Do you like being near the beach, vibrant towns, or have easy access to The Long Island Railroad.

If you’re not familiar with the Towns and Hamlets on Long Island, searching for a Nassau or Suffolk County NY home on the internet can be overwhelming, especially if the home does not fit your lifestyle. If you are just trying to find a pretty home without taking into account other important needs, you may be disappointed.

We received a call from an out-of-state buyer. They sent us a list of homes they were interested in seeing on Long Island, and if available, any one of them they would buy. We took them around showing every home on their list. Once we showed them these houses, none of them would work for them. A few were on a main road, which they didn’t want. One was next door to a firehouse, and 3 were too far from work. Yes, I asked them during our texting back and forth if there was anything that would distract them from purchasing any of their choices. They said “No we don’t care where they are located”…

So they found out quickly that just because a house looks perfect online, it may not be the right house for them and location, location, location matters!

Matching a buyer’s lifestyle and finding them the right home is what we try to determine to find our clients their happily- ever-after…

Remember, Work with Agents Who Serve…Not Sell!
